more fun stuff on a beautiful date, 08.08.08......

the most auspicious date on the chinese calendar (presumably bcoz of all the 8s), it marked the start of the beijing olympics n the beginning of a lovely relationship for 2 couples. *envious* but my day didn't go all too shabby either lah.



we went to spgg's ktv room to sing again... its quite addictive once u get beyond the initial shyness.

sengwang n junhong attempts to be jay chou n fei yu qing in the duet qian li zhi wai. it was hilarious i tell u!! *rolls on the floor with a tummy ache* =P



darren singing emo/cheesy/OLD love songs... n surprisingly, all the guys cld sing-a-long too!

the "dun worry be happy" theme song sengwang chose.. LETS ALL BE PATRIOTIC N SING FUNNY SINGAPORE-ONLY SONGS!!! =D



as there wasn't enough mics for all, the camera occupied us!



wahahaha!!! to be fair, i drew on everyone =P

1st shot: everyone seated according to height... by right, jess supposed to be taller de but i suppose she was slouching so i got to be taller for once! whee~
2nd shot: darren stretches himself, junhong cried n sengwang grew whiskers! jess n i got pretty pink ribbons coz we r girls n i'm biased. lolx!



last but not least, donut factory is loveeeee~ n wasabi chips too (coz they make the guys tear n go 'wtf?!' when i mix them with ordinary keropok) muahahaha... i'm tt evil.

on the 10th of august, the girls accompanied mama on her errands...



trix treated us to bubble tea at this new cafe at marine parade... instead of saying "add pearls", the menu read "bubbles, add 50 cents".

me: wahh... new type ar? got bubbles!
trix: we try lah...
alisa: over there!! those must be the bubbles.. so biggggg n they r BLUE!!!!

on closer look, those were just glass stones. the type found at the bottom of the fish tank n was for decorative purpose only. my silly mei mei.... just bcoz the cafe is called koi cafe, doesn't mean we gotta eat fish stuff. 0_o"

but the mini pearls here was soooo gd! not clumped tgt or frozen like the sweettalk ones. tt justified its price of nearly $3 per cup i guess.

lunch was at the newly renovated katrini's indonesian food at parkway parade.. damn pricey n totally not worthwhile! we even had to pay for water n i hate restaurants who do tt esp when they sell spicy food! its like cheating!!!! bahx! =(



the crackers n coconut kueh were the nicest of all! n they r compulsory side dishes.. like peanuts at chinese restaurants so it doesn't really count.

spicy sotong which was actually not too bad. such a pity the serving size was so super small!



fried i-dunno-what fish. i like the salted beans alot..

afterwards, they all got new specs except me coz the mother said i just bought mine not long ago. *wails* even trix's bf was encouraged to buy new specs n it was damn funny tt mama kept forcing him to replace his old cracked ones. the shop shld give her commission lor!!!

the funnier bit was she kept wanting him to test his eyesight when he was already an existing customer at tt same shop since a long long time ago n his records hv always been there. gosh!

since i wasted the whole day hanging around with them, getting nothing of my own n not even getting permission to drive, i was pretty pissed off n sulking the whole way. as in not the play play sulk sulk but the full-blown temper where i evil-eye everyone. haiz, tts a bad habit i really gotta change. sorry guys...

i guess i made the mother feel bad coz she baby-talked me n hustled all of us for tea - dragging me with my hand clamped tightly in hers since i refused to talk. awwww shucks, i feel guilty now. :(

hmmm, on a side note, i was buying bubble tea at sweettalk today n i saw a new flavour.... premium green tea. premium leh!! its costs 30 cents more than the normal green tea n everyone in front of me pointed at the sign n ordered it!

tt got me thinking on how stereotypical we hv become. just bcoz a piece of paper says its better doesn't actually mean it is! n just bcoz the person in front of u ordered it, doesn't mean u hv to buy it too! singaporeans hv become so obedient n result-oriented tt even things they consume hv to be superior to the ordinary or even supposedly inferior stuff just bcoz of a wrd or advertising gimmick.

haiz... give me my gd, old strawberry milk tea anyday. i resist change. =X
